Shilla Stay Guro Review: A Comfortable Hotel Near Guro Digital Complex Station in Seoul

If you’re visiting Seoul and looking for a hotel with convenient subway access, comfortable rooms, and reasonable prices, Shilla Stay Guro is worth considering.

I recently stayed here while attending a wedding in Seoul and was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. Although Shilla Stay Guro is known as a business hotel, it was also a practical choice for travelers exploring the city.

Location

 

One of the biggest advantages of Shilla Stay Guro is its location.

The hotel is about a 7-minute walk from Guro Digital Complex Station (Line 2), making it easy to travel to popular areas such as Hongdae, Myeongdong, Gangnam, and Seoul Station.

The surrounding neighborhood has plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, coffee shops, and local businesses, making it convenient for both short and long stays.

Parking

For travelers renting a car in Korea, parking is available at the hotel.

Unlike many hotels in Seoul where parking can be limited or inconvenient, Shilla Stay Guro offers underground parking, which made the stay much more comfortable.

Room Review

I stayed in a Double Bed Room during my visit.

The room was not particularly large, but it felt clean, modern, and well-maintained. The large window helped the room feel more open, and there was enough storage space for luggage and personal belongings.

The overall design follows the typical Shilla Stay style with dark tones and a calm atmosphere.

Amenities

The room included all essential amenities such as:

• Electric kettle
• Mini refrigerator
• Coffee and tea
• Hair dryer
• Bathrobe
• Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash

One pleasant surprise was the L’Occitane bath amenities. The Verbena collection had a fresh and elegant scent that made the shower experience feel more luxurious than expected for a business hotel.

Please note that toothbrushes and toothpaste are not complimentary due to environmental regulations in Korea.

Breakfast Review

Breakfast was served at the hotel’s restaurant on the first floor.

The dining area was bright and spacious with large windows, creating a relaxing atmosphere in the morning.

The buffet included:

• Croissants and bread
• Fresh fruit
• Salad
• Cereal
• Soup
• Sausage and bacon
• Coffee and juice

While the selection was not extravagant, everything was fresh and well-prepared.

Guests can receive a discount on breakfast, which makes it a good value compared to many hotel breakfasts in Seoul.

Fitness Center

The hotel also offers a small fitness center.

Although it is not a large gym, it includes basic cardio equipment and is suitable for a quick workout before starting the day.

The large windows help create a bright and comfortable exercise environment.

Final Thoughts

Shilla Stay Guro may not be a luxury hotel, but it offers excellent value for travelers who prioritize convenience, cleanliness, and transportation.
