Busan is known for its beautiful ocean views and relaxing hotel stays, and one of the most popular places for a luxury staycation is Ananti at Busan Cove.
After visiting recently, I realized this is not just a hotel with great rooms. Your overall experience can feel completely different depending on how you plan your schedule, especially if you are staying only for one or two nights.
Most reviews online focus on room tours or the Waterhouse pool, but I couldn’t find many practical tips about check-in timing or how to avoid crowds. So I wanted to share some helpful tips from my own experience.
Check-in Tips at Ananti at Busan Cove
If you’re visiting on weekends, expect a lot of people around check-in time.
As soon as you enter the lobby, you’ll see a waiting registration kiosk. Simply enter your phone number and join the queue.
Once your turn approaches, you’ll receive a notification on your phone telling you to head to the check-in line.
My personal tip
Instead of arriving exactly at 3:00 PM, I actually recommend arriving around 2:00 PM.
Sometimes rooms become available earlier than expected, and the hotel may let you enter your room without charging an early check-in fee.
That happened during my stay.
I registered for check-in first and spent some time relaxing at McQueen’s Lounge while waiting. My room became available sooner than expected.

Best Place to Wait: McQueen’s Lounge
One of my favorite parts of the hotel was definitely McQueen’s Lounge.
Honestly, the atmosphere alone made me want to come back again.
Large floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the ocean, and when sunlight hits the water, the view becomes absolutely stunning.
The space feels calm and elegant, which is very different from the busy lobby area.
I grabbed a seat near the windows and enjoyed a drink, and at that point my staycation already felt like it had started.

Opening hours: 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Last order: 7:30 PM
Afternoon tea: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
They also offer seasonal afternoon tea sets that look perfect if you want a more relaxed experience.

- Green Tea Latte (“King’s Garden”)
There were also many bakery options available.

My total came out to 33,000 KRW.
After downloading the app and showing the QR code, I received an additional 5% discount, which was a nice surprise.

I intentionally went to Waterhouse after 3 PM, and it was noticeably less crowded.
Guests who check out can continue using Waterhouse until 3 PM, which means the morning and early afternoon can still feel busy.
When I entered shortly after 3 PM, it felt much quieter and much more comfortable.
If you’re planning a stay at Ananti, timing really makes a difference.
